Joe Biden (among other Democrats) praises John McCain

August 23, 2008

Joe Biden: “John McCain is a personal friend, a great friend, and I would be honored to run with or against him”. A must watch video. Nice tag by Hillary Clinton as well.

It’s hard to imagine anyone else who could get this kind of praise from the other side of the aisle (except for maybe Joe Liberman). Rush dosen’t like him, Hugh Hewitt never had much good to say about him and Pat Robertson refused to endorse him and James Dobson promised to sit out the election if McCain was nominated. What’s not to like?

In the primary I was torn, but I eventually voted for Mitt Romney. Biggest mistake ever. As soon as I did it I immediately regretted it. It was like a dagger in the heart: at that moment I knew that the best person to President of the United States was John McCain. John McCain will be a great president for everyone.

I agree, I knew in the primaries that our best chance was with McCain. And I think it’s great that Biden has given him so much praise and given Obama much less in the past…. the fact that Biden backtracks on those comments now only makes him look untrustworthy, which won’t be good for Obama.

And you know, Rush didn’t support McCain to begin with, but you should hear how he sticks up for him now…..
